You will when they draft Kool-Aid McKinstry next year.

I think the Bears got themselves some great talent at CB, and continued to do so in UDFA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOkVLQ-ObIk&t=67s

They drafted DL who are underrated because of coaching. They will be great now after being unleashed

They stole offensive skill players

The OL is going to be a top 1/3 in the NFL this year.

They will most likely still have a bottom 5 defense next year. There is not a single, starting caliber defensive lineman on the roster.

I'd appreciate it more if you didn't continually overrate the Bears OL.

The OL statement was the least kool aide influenced statement in the group. This is a good looking line right now.

Of course you've been telling me how the Bears line is better than my Saints for at least 2-3+ years now. So there's that :D

It's amazing what the NFL has turned the draft into, it's kind of like a three day long Kool-Aid festival for the fans, everyone is jacked up about the draft picks until you see them actually play against NFL level talent.

Will be able to tell fairly early in the season if the guys the Poles roster rebuild is bearing fruit, until then we can gulp down our Bears Kool Aid while reading stories about how good the new guys looked in rookie mini camp, and the obligatory stuff about how Fields is, "more comfortable in year two of the offense", and the other "in the best shape of his life", type stuff.

This appears to be true right now. The offense has potential to be top 5 to 10 if Fields can pass. There is depth at every position too.

There's a minor question mark at center, but there are no questions beyond that. The right side of the line may be the nastiest in the NFL.

Keep hearing they like Whitehair at center, he certainly will be much more stout at the point of attack than the Mustipher, but maybe just having a guy that can snap the ball and not get pushed into the QB's lap is all they need.

It does appear they will be heavily committed to the run and they will need to be because the defense as currently constituted will have a difficult time getting off the field.

The absolute best case scenario for the defense is having the two DT's start out as rotational guys and then begin to make a few plays later in the year.

Not sure if Fields realizes this, but this is his make or break year, he has better talent around him and he must show signs of improvement in the passing game or they will likely be looking to use the significant amount of draft capital and cap space they will have next year to find a solution at the QB position.

A lot will depend on the progress of their defensive line at the point of attack. I like their secondary and their upgrades at linebacker but it is the defensive tackles drafted that are the key to putting a solid defense together.

Sorry, how many playoff wins do the Saints have over the last 2 years?

Your LT is not good. Seeing as that the most important position I’d say the O-line is not a strength.

Braxton Jones and Justin Fields are key components of the rebuild, two guys Poles is depending on to fill two key positions for the next 5-7 years.

He has prototypical LT size, arm length, and feet, struggled with power last year, will be interesting to watch him early this year to see if he is able to anchor and hold up against inside power moves, he likely will be tested early.
