AH doesn't have that solved. They don't remotely know what to do with tens of thousands of drunk people routinely showing up to their city. Chicago is an expert when it comes to dealing with folks under the influence.

Thousands of drunks flood Schaumburg and Streets of Woodfield every weekend. They are Caucasian, it's harmless.

The infrastructure is already in place for the Bears to remain in Chicago. At least in the Richton Park, the people won't show up bitching about the Bears and businesses developing on all their undeveloped land. Also, it's easily accessible by MANY expressways and public transportation.
It all depends on how much the city is willing to give up to keep them. There is a magic number where it makes sense. Will the Curious Hair types let them do it? After all, stadiums are money losers for cities but Chicago seems desperate to stop the Bears from building their own private stadium and Curious Hair HATES the idea of them moving to Arlington Heights.

While I agree with you BRick that this will eventually get done, I do not agree there is a magic number for the Bears. The Bears want / need to outright own the stadium. That is never going to happen in Chicago.
Infrastructure around Soldier Field is a disaster and any type o renovation project will cost more than the suburban sites.

I personally could care less where they play.

The Bears would probably accept the Indianapolis deal where the Colts get paid when the Final Four and other events are played in the public stadium they supposedly play for. They turned the Irsay family into billionaires with it.

I remain very excited that the Bears will some day have a real professional football stadium for me to look at on my tv.

1) new stadium will have a dome.

2) Arlington still 50/50. They will know within 12 months. I'm guessing that's how long it will take to fight the tax assessments.

This new stadium is moving slower than molasses. I heard Aurora was interested and is willing to give the Bears anything. Fuck Arlington Heights.

A pity they can't give the Bears "being less than 40 miles from the city center."

Hey, we're a great place to live, work, and play! Be mad at Cook County.

If cook county was blasted with a hydrobomb, when the wind is blowing towards michigan, and we dug 10ft down to dispose of the radiation, backfilled with dirt from ukraine, then i would move back to illinois.
