The d line is going to be a problem. Even in my best case scenario, Dexter and Pickens become good run stoppers but they give up a lot of 3rd and 5 plays. The offense is going to keep up but I think they will perpetually be in a coin flip situation at the end of every game, kind of like they were last year

Run defense will be exponentially better than last year, which will automatically make the pass defense better as well.

With Edmunds patrolling the middle of the field, MANY of the easy, deep middle throws from last year, will be eliminated as well.

Best case scenario feels like 10 wins, Fields breaks 4,000 yards and limits interceptions to under 12, sacks are way down from last year, majority of this year's draft picks see playing time as starters and the Bears are competitive against the upper-echelon teams like the Chiefs and Chargers.

Worst case scenario feels like 6 wins, Fields can't break 3,000 yards rushing and has 15+ interceptions, Bears are inconsistent and get blown out of games that they shouldn't have been blown out of.

Is it right to be concerned about Fields becoming an interception machine? So much focus on him being able to pass in the pocket that I keep thinking he will try to force more passes into spots he was conservative with last year. Also, if they getting blown out of some of these games because the defense doesn't hold up, I could see him trying to force more throws to get back into the game instead of using his legs like last year.

I think that 10 win mark would indicate a successful season. Not expecting a huge jump and playoff run this year. The skill positions have been improved across the board but both lines will need to improve and just like every year, injuries will tell the story.

If they win 10 games they are definitely a playoff team, perhaps even the Division champs. 10 wins and/or a playoff appearance would be a huge success.

I think it can be a good and productive year with 8-9 wins and continued development from Fields, the offense, and the secondary.
