It is undeniable that fields threw to where he thought kmet would be. Whether fields fucked up or kmet fucked up loses its importance when you see that all three other guys won their routes. I definitely got 5 bucks worth of enjoyment out of jto but i am starting to wonder whether it even matters what fields does or doesnt do given the state of this entire team and organization. Who even cares if fields goes nuts against the panthers or flacons or raiders. it doesnt matter anymore, this team is so beyond fucked that even with picks 1 and 2 they still wont win five games in 24 or 25.

Ever so subtly you can pick up warning signs here. He mentions a lack of anticipation or not as much as needed on the throws we're all praising him for. Mentions Fields is a tick late even on the big time completions. What it means is that against better/healthier defenses those passes are knocked down or intercepted due to fields again needing to see someone get open instead of anticipating what the window is and throwing it there in advance.

Right now, Fields is doing a good job reading the field but is maybe a split second late in delivering the passes. As long as he gets a decent pass protection from his offensive line he will deliver the pass accurately. This occurs where he is contained in the pocket. When he is forced to improvise or throw while moving in the pocket he is slightly better time wise in delivering the ball but I think that is a natural progression in most quarterbacks.

If my insight is right, I think that if the Bear's draft or sign a good left tackle and center next year, we will see a trust develop in Fields and his receivers and a sharper delivery and performance. I believer that it is not mechanics, intelligence, or anything like that. It is Fields needing a bit more time in the pocket and a fear of making a turnover. He now has NFL caliber receivers including a great one in Moore. Solve the left tackle and center issue and all will be joyful with Fields.
