Fields did what he did/said what he said after week 2--when at that point Fields likely still had a slim majority of fans and even local media supporting him and not calling for his demotion.

You think a guy who reacts that negatively to what little pressure was applied over the last 2+ years is going to make it 12 more games of losing with fans and media now turning against him

When the coaches think Bagent is ready, they'll stop kissing Fields' ass publicly.

I don't think this guy is going to do anything. However what you will probably see is forward passes. At some point his limitations will catch up to him but initially for maybe like a max of a game you'll see passes thrown with anticipation. And for that quarter or two it will be unlike anything we've seen for a few years now.

visiting the refuge known as college football yesterday, and you actually see college level OC's and QB's making adjustments, rolling the pocket and giving the QB a three way go, run, a guy crossing at 5, and a guy crossing at 10, the back at 5 yards is almost always open as the linebacker has to account for the QB, this should be the play the Bears run with regularity.

It is almost as if you have to script every play with Fields and tell him to throw it to a certain guy no matter what, but you see the bad habits the QB one college guys get into, they always play with top level players, and they are the best athlete on the field, so they hold the ball forever because they want to take the deep shot and they are always able to outrun the defensive players. Fields is a prime example of that type of development system, you cannot do that at the NFL level and they will take your head off while you are standing there patting the ball waiting to see your guy break wide open with is not going to happen because you are not throwing to a team full of five star guys and you are not playing WIU.
