Seems it is time for the board to create a few awards i/c/w the draft and/or roster construction.

The first award will be the "Lovie Smith Award", an award for the individual that helps out the Bears by doing something that helps the teams draft positioning.

There of course will never be anyone that could do as much as Lovie did by winning a meaningless game that resulted in the Bears getting the number one overall pick, and that is why the award in name for him along with the upcoming statue for him outside of the new stadium.

I humbly nominate JJ McCarthy for this award as some time will reach for him and that will either help the Bears by allowing a player to slip to them or by allowing the Bears to accumulate draft capital from a team moving up to reach for him.

There will also be the "Ryan Pace Award" given to the move that hurts the team the most in the draft, it was obviously the Claypool move last season.

Lovie helped the Texans more than any other team. Texans would've drafted Caleb Young with the 1st overall last draft if Lovie hadn't won that last game.
