they really have lucked out. although drafting one of these qbs is no more than a crapshoot, ive never seen maye play but williams doesnt strike me as any kind of sure thing in the handful of games ive seen him play.

Parkins keeps stating Fields is pushing to play because he’s “tough as hell.” I think he’s pushing to play because the Panthers are atrocious and likely to give up tons of yardage and points regardless of who plays QB.

What good does it do? The Bears aren't making the playoffs. They aren't hiring a new coach until after the season.

It allows you to get a head start on the process

How so? Maybe if there is an employee coach you want but how often is a new coach hired during the season in the NFL unless it's the interim guy getting the full job.

The process of what? Talking to other coaches who were shitcanned this year? Coordinators can't interview until the end of the season, unless their current team grants permission. I have no doubt that if the Bears want to interview Josh McDaniels tomorrow, they can and they will.

Regardless of who the Bears hire or fire, you will piss and moan about it. You will dislike any coaching move Ryan Poles makes.
