I'm starting to lean towards taking Harrison first. Maybe trade down to 2 or 3 if you get the first pick.. I like Maye, but believe Harrison is the only sure thing at the top of this draft.

I’ve always had a few thoughts about Fields that seemed unrelated:

1) He looks like a muppet with eyes on the side of his head
2) He has insane vision when running - elite even
3) He’s completely incompetent when the rush comes from his right

After watching him run directly into Kmet blocking a guy, I’m convinced the guy has the vision of a hammerhead shark. Peripheral is probably 100th percentile but he can’t see something directly in front of his face.

JJ McCarthy sucks. He’s worth a flier in the 7th round if you need a guy for a scout team run-heavy offense.

If you don't like Fields because of his inability to throw a forward pass, then you are going to hate JJ McCarthy

or someone else from the second tier

Unlike others, the Penix injuries don't scare me much but you have to understand that he is a traditional big armed, pocket qb.

I think his time at Indiana is a little over praised because of the injuries and a couple wins against prestige programs.

…and the fact that the B1G is almost entirely dogshit save for a couple teams each year.

He's got 63 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in Washington. Caleb Williams is at 72 touchdowns and 10 interceptions and he's a generational talent.

The injuries are the big concern for sure but it really shouldn't be an argument that is a highly skilled quarterback.
