Belichick fired. He was always the more likely option to replace Eberflus but he wasn't available yesterday.

why would we want the ONE single coach that proved without a shadow of doubt the QUARTERBACK is the only thing that fucking matters.

Belichick would be gold in Chicago...if for no reason other than to drive the media completely insane and piss off the meatballs even more.

Except I don't think he'd poop himself on the sideline.

It would be a completely bears thing to go thru yesterday and then have it turned upside down. They hire Belicheck and he turns into Larussa and becomes an even bigger bumbling fool than Flus.

Belicheck is nowhere near TLR level of mental decline.

I don't see Belicheck fixing the Bears, but he would be a better coach and his contempt for the media would be pure gold and I'd love every second of it

I would offer Bellicheck $15mil/yr just to shadow flus and report his thoughts at the press conference.

I agree completely, but you know he puts on that bear hoodie and suddenly he becomes a drooling fool.

I see him as more of a Lou Piniella than a TLR these days.

I know Belichick knows a lot about football, but without Brady he's Josh McDaniels.

The Bears and the entire nfl knew belicheck was leaving. So it happening today means nothing. There is no shift in the Bears plan. Be smarter than that.

Cubs manager Lou Piniella was fucking awesome. Sign me up for that.
Those were great years....Cubs had Lou....Sox had Ozzie. Great press conferences!

Not sure where "Belichick is nothing without Brady" is coming from. The first five years were all smashmouth offense and a powerful defense. Brady was a passenger on the first three.

If anything, Belichick is nothing without Ernie Adams.

That's ridiculous. They needed someone who could make plays when necessary. A lot of players can be Fabio or Herbert when there's no pressure. It takes a special man like Brady to deliver when it matters most

yeah, 2001 was Tom's only "decent" year. 2003 Tom Brady was in the league's top 5 for QBs.
