"this mock draft is not an attempt to predict what the Bears will actually do .... Nor is it meant as a recommendation of what the Bears should do..."

Then it's not a mock draft at all, dumbass.

Patrick Williams has more in common with Justin Fields

Your "data"? Does that include the last half of the 2023 season? The slug really left no doubt in anyone's mind about how he proved his ability to lead a team to a Rose Bowl or heaven's to Betsy, a national championship. right?

That wasn't directed at you, ike. Was directed at mock drafts in general.

Is this really happening again? We had 3 top ten picks in 3 years, 2 of which were #1's, and yet we are still going spend another years screaming at eachother to put X in to 'see what he's got'.

Some team should offer Bears a 4th round pick for Fields and if the Bears take the deal sign Fields and flip him to the Vikings for 2nd and 4th.

I assume that's the Giants plan for Brian Burns. NYG have too many roster issues to be paying top $$ for Burns while the rest of their roster's a dumpster fire. But since Carolina gave them Burns for fuck-all, they might as well make the deal; sign Burns to a long-term contract that seems high now but will be a bargain under the increased salary cap in a season or two; and then trade Burns to some team for a pair of 1st round picks++ after Burns demonstrates value this season.

I'm pretty sure that isn't their plan.

The plan was to get a young pass-rusher to fill one of the most glaring needs on the team.

That may be so, but adding good young players seems like a good strategy.

Sure, Burns is great, fits most any timeline (at least at this point); but when you have Daniel Jones and Drew Lock?! Is that real? Is Drew Lock still in the league?

Anyhow, good move by the Giants for sure. But if a year from now the Giants still limping along without an actual NFL caliber starting QB, Burns has a good season be easy to flip Burns for value.

Guess you could hang on to him in case Josh Allen gets hurt.

You could then flip him to the Bills and he would be Mitch's backup, now wouldn't that be fun!

Forget Lebron being teammates with his son, need a QB room of Mitch Trubusty, Justin Fields and C-Will
