I'm in the process of looking at Williams' games now. He has amazing spatial/pocket awareness and elite improvisation skills, which I think is where the Mahomes comparisons seem reasonable. But my main concern so far is that he either hasn't been asked to or simply can't play "on schedule" that much. Playing within the framework of a given offensive structure is crucial in the NFL. It's not clear to me what Williams' capabilities are in this regard--at least as of today. Maybe my opinion will change as I watch more footage.
