i've only watched a little but it looks like both defenses are holding up. the bears offense seems to be moving the ball OK...

It's a pretty boring game. Aside from one or two plays, Miami really hasn't done much.

BTW, the guys on NFL network calling the game blow, big time. Joniak (sp?) and Thayer on WBBM are a better choice.

God, is Matt Millen a douchebag. Now he's piling on the Rod Marinelli love. No, Matt, we won't think you were a better GM if you talk up the guy you hired as coach. You sucked as a GM and you suck as an analyst.

In fairness Rod's D is playing pretty damn well. He deserves some praise.

Agree on the D. Millen is a douchebag for a lot of reasons. Giving credit to the defensive coordinator on a night when the defense has been dominant isn't one of them.

Solid win. Nothing spectacular on offense, but the defense was dominant. Going against third string QB helps, but so what play who's on the schedule.

7-3. Unreal

Certainly not a key play of the game, but on the Bears first drive, deep in their own territory, third and long and the Bears run a draw. Doesn't result in a first down but I thought a smart call. Playing against a third string QB, play a conservative game and don't beat yourself.

Thought the same thing. Really solid win. Would like to see one of the FG's turned into a TD, but other than that it was another three phase win on the road.

Time to get ready for the Vick experience.

I see Millen is learning from Gruden on Monday night's, heard a some of this guy.

Bears fans, Lovie will be back next year now and also a serious contender for the playoffs, probably need 10 wins.

when matt forte runs the ball you can just throw out the YPC average... in fact please do, as i figure it's not pretty. there's no way that he can be all that much above 3.5ypc, even when you factor in the ~2-3 ~50+ yard blasts into the endzone.

i heard someone somewhere during the week of bears coverage mention that forte's running style would look good in the classic denver setting (get behind that o-line, make a cut, and run ye olde ass off) as the bears style of "get behind a big man and wait for the hole to open up" doesn't necessarily suit him well.

either way, i look forward to will ferrell's future sitcom based off of the matt forte experience called "two yards and down"

Now THAT is what they payed Peppers for. He was outstanding tonight. I call 'em as I see 'em & I gotta say, this team is proving me & most everyone else wrong & I'm starting to feel pretty good about this bunch. This looks & feels very similar to 2006 with the Defense dominating opponents, & the offense doing a jekkyl & hyde where you never know if they are going to show up or not, & erratic QB play. If the defense continues to play this way they'll win a couple of games as underdogs.
Imagine how good this team might be if Angelo had made at least 1 decent high draft pick in the last 5 years!

Already planning my superbowl party this year. Maybe we can finally let the 85 Bears just go away.

O-line playing a lot better but considering they started at the pathetic level they are
still only average. I am liking the improvements though. Jay Cutler still has the most
punchable face around. Guy threw some amazing passes but still acts like a 13 year
old girl when things don't go his way. At least he gave the defense a lot of credit in
the press conference. They'll have their hands full next week trying to bottle up Vick.
Just happy I have a reason to watch the games and be excited about how they are
doing. It was a nice win on the road, even if Miami wasn't at full strength.

Yeah, Cutler bitching when he got sacked just before the 2 minute warning with a 16-0 lead got me a little upset.

The Eagles will be a tough opponent. Speed recievers give the Bears problems and the Eagles have all kinds of speed at that position. I know Vick has been playing very well, but Urlacher has had tremendous success against him in the past. I still think the Bears on a long week and the Eagles on a shortened week due to Thanksgiving will have an effect. If the Eagles beat the Giants, it would sure seem to set up as a letdown game for them.

I know J'Marcus Webb is a rookie and he is going to make mistakes, but is he really the best they can put out there? He seems to make dumb mistakes repeatedly. When I heard him on Zach's Anal Access show he sounded like a very slow thinking guy. I also believe he had to leave Texas because of bad grades. Is this guy just too dull witted to be starting as a rookie?

It appeared to me watching that Tyler Thigpen was #3 on the Dolphins' depth chart for a reason. To say the Dolphins' starting QB last night was intimidated would be an understatement. The Bears' defense took advantage of an injury-ravaged offensive line that lost its starting center early on, was constantly harassing Thigpen all night and sacked #16 in Miami teal 6 times and forced 1 turnover, the Charles Tillman interception that led to one of Robbie Gould's 3 field goals. The Dolphins also rarely ran the football & didn't even bother with the wildcat. If last night's Bears' 16-0 win was a fight, the ref would have stopped it early.

Well, Coastal Carolina is a football factory. I guess he missed the bus.

Also, the idea that this is a revenge game for 1985 is both hilarious and sad.

The fact that WGN is pushing this makes them completely responsible for any meatballness that comes out of this game.

And what was the final score last night?

16-0

8)

He should be bitching that a pass was even called there. They should have just run it. Why risk injury to your quarterback and stopping the clock when the game is virtually over?

Agreed, but as a player two minutes from a win and a few days of r and r in Florida, he should be giddy with joy.
