I loved the LIMO Cornelison over to Soldier Field right away to sing!

The line of Bear Hall of Famers guys run through to get on the field. Ditka, Butkus, Sayers, OB, Buffone, Danimal, all the 85 guys....

With Sunday's playoff game, I ended up going to five Bears games this season. One thing I noticed during this last game was that whenever the Bears got a first down the PA announcer proclaimed a first down for... DA BEARS! I swear that this didn't happen during the four regular season games, so maybe this is a new fire-n-pashin thing for the playoffs?

As I mused to the season ticket holder to my right (good guy who enjoyed talking strategy and getting radio updates from me) -- wasn't the Superfans bit supposed to be making fun of Chicagoans and thus buying into the whole DA BEARS thing is like, making fun of yourself?

In fairness, I had a lady to my left who I think managed to sneak in a heavily-mixed rum-n-diet coke and was super-fucking-annoying during the 2nd half. She was damn near unbearable between constantly bumping into me to play-fight with her husband and then literally grab me (sometimes removing my headphones) to ask the most retardedly pointless questions that would usually answer themselves save some sort of mental retardation. She cheered her loudest when the Bears were setting up to snap the ball on offense. Suffice to say, she was good for a loud DA BEARS!!!! on every first down.

The best was when some yuppie dude ordered a beer and had $12 change coming and she blurted out "I'M GONNA KEEP THE CHANGE!" and he's like "please don't, the game is going on" and then she proceeded to keep it under her arm for 30 seconds while looking around like a dufus, all while the guy was just like "BITCH PLEASE!" At least she disappeared for damn near a whole quarter's worth of gametime during the 2nd half, like the true fan that she is.
