The record is going to be good again. I didn't say the team will be good, but the record will be.

Lovie has a system in place, most of the guys are coming back and some upgrades will be made, but the basis is in place.

There will be a lockout and this season MIGHT start 2 weeks late, with a 2 game preseason and thus very little preparation for a team. So the team with coaches, players and systems in place will thrive early at the very least. The Bears have that ingredient.

FYI, Bears in New Orleans next year. Start saving your nickels now.

The law of averages has this team suffering significant injuries next year.

Same law of averages that has the Cubs winning a World Series?

Goat curse throws the law of averages out the window.

Packers will come in to next season as the odds on favorite to win the NFC. The Lions showed all the signs of an emerging good team (leading until the 4th quarter, winning at home). The Vikings have issues, but they also have high draft picks.

The Bears ended up playing one of the easiest schedules in the league in 2010 (23rd hardest). That (along with the previously noted lack of injury) is unlikely to be repeated given that they won the division.

I think it really depends on Jerry's offseason moves. If there is no upgrade at LT or WR, Jay will continue to get abused in the pocket. That plus a normal schedule (not the 2nd or 3rd easiest like this season) plus normal injuries will bring them back to the pack. But if Jerry can pull off a trade or signing for a legit tackle and WR, all bets are off. GB will likely be the favorite for the division next season, but the Bears could be right there.
