We dont even know when this yet, but I will tell you this is the one roadtrip that is worth going on.

Not asking for anyone to give me a 100% yet, I mean it's not Hoops IV!, but who would be interested in an utlimate trip to Bourbonville?

I am guessing some of you have not been to the Big Easy! This is something you should be doing.

My estimation this is a $600 trip + drinks. Stay right off Bourbon street, fly in late Friday night, leave Sunday night, Superdome walking distance.

I estimate close to 20,000 Bear fans will make this trip!

I want to go! Think I can get somebody to share a hotel room with me?

Been to NOLA several times and it never disappoints. While we didn't this past season, we usually do one road game per season. Assuming the NFL scheduling gods look favorably on us this will be the one. So Mr. G. please do not schedule this game for Oct 9 (Chicago Marathon), Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's. Thank you.

It sounds like the real Big Easy is located in Downer's Grove.

And I could be interested in a trip to New Orleans too.

Haven't been to New Orleans since about 1992. I haven't really been out of the Chicago area since 2005 for that matter.

But yeah, with this much notice I'd be in. 8)

Agreed; two playoff teams with interesting QB storylines and more than just regional interest. I think the schedule-makers will put this one somewhere other than noon on Sunday.

Leaves more time for eating! Ughhhhh!

New Orleans is just dangerous...

8:30 AM Wake up, walk over to Cafe De Monde - some beignets, cafe ole, OJ

Then look for an 11 AM Brunch!!!!!!

2 PM is some bar on Bourbon, play some video poker, need a PO Boy!

Contemplate Dinner, Jamblaya...

Go drinking! Walking Bourbon, strip joints, music, can walk in and out of bars with your drinks!

2 AM Lucky dog vendor! Followed with some Krystal Burgers

4 AM, good night...

Awakened 1/2 hr. later to hurl.

There isn't enough alcohol in the world to have me eat either of those ever again.

The last Lucky Dog I had was close to frozen in the middle.

Yet, I am quite sure, that 5 block walk back to the Chateau Sonesta, passing 3 Lucky Dog stands down Bourbon would result in a purchase, no matter how many times I said no.

Only place I can't go back to is the Dungeon! Entrance way to tight for even semi claustrophobic, so once I got in, didnt want to leave again! Sitting in a room (or cave) with 2 lesbians, they asked if I minded if they smoked, we shared the herbal sacrement, then while I was partaking, they partook in each other.

I then decided to stay awhile and asked what they wanted to drink?

Cafe De Monde = pigeon-infested tourist trap. They throw the coffee and bignet at you and then that is it. Instead breakfast at some outdoor place (cannot remember the name) - bloody marys, dixie beer chaser and a three-old-guy jazz band.
