The Bears are going to be the shit when they put a weight bench on the field and decide overtime by a 225 lb bench off.

I like it....This is how you build a team on the O-Line and D-Line....hopefully they don't suck.

I'm loving this draft for the Bear.

Do they really only have 3 more picks left in this years draft?

It's nice to have picks in the first few rounds instead of trading them all for a QB with a prominent camel toe

Does this compare favorably to being able to jump out of a swimming pool?

Where do the Bears go in round 3? CB, WR, OL?

Would like to see them get some secondary depth or maybe a LB from Vanderbilt to replace Hillenmeyer

I think we could get a good WR in FA when that occurs. Seems to me like a solid LB or another OL (maybe a G/C) would be a good way to fill out the meat of the draft. Use tomorrows picks on projects from Abilene Christian.

+1. Very pleasantly surprised to come home tonight and find they were able to get a guy in the 2nd round that they would have taken in the first round had Carimi been gone. And then to get a DB in the 3rd round

3 solid picks that all fill needs on this team.

Good draft, but I usually think so.

Addressed needs with first 3 picks.

Paea is a powerful run stuffer that plays angry and should contribute immediately at the next level. He is as strong as an ox and consistently knocks lineman back on their heels. He takes on double teams and is near impossible to move out of the hole. He lacks refined pass rushing skills, but has heavy hands and a good burst to eventually become a weapon on third down. He is still learning the finer points of the game, but he has unparalleled toughness and a tireless work ethic. Paea will likely not last past the middle of the first round.

Looks pretty damn good to me if it is true.

I love Paea with some nice, crisp Chardonnay.

The Bears really wanted to trade that 4th round pick. The later rounds is when Jerry usually does his best. I hope they pick up a guy that can replace Olin in a couple years.

Can we draft a new GM?

How does a team that loves to trade down as much as the Bears only have two picks in the final four rounds of this draft?

Isn't that why they brought in Ruskell?

By targeting guys that Tice and Marineli believe they can make into stars.

Yeah, but I'm hoping he'll step in front of a bus or something. His record with Seattle was, shall we say, less than stellar.

I have faith in Tice, but I am less sanguine about Marinelli's acumen in the area of talent evaluation.

Before last season I would have disagreed with you but I really haven't seen the returns on Marineli. All the players rave about the guy but the results aren't there. The Bears had guys that he should have been able to get something out of. Tice is the real deal. He made chicken salad on the fly last season. One of the best coaching jobs I've seen.

Completely agree--Tice seems to be a bit of a miracle worker while Marinelli seems to have benefited from being in the right place at the right time.
