Joe Brown seems like he's a lot more fair. He's like the Bill Cosby father-figure type. Judge Mathis acts like an arrogant, know-it-all, dick most of the time and barely ever lets anybody answer a question. In a lot of ways, Mathis reminds me of Dan Bernstein.

Here Come Da Judge: I used to work with The Judge when he first came to town and most of his TV imagery is all smoke & mirrors for the cameras - he's really a very nice guy - but he does come across (on TV) as a Black Bernstein. Too bad our very own The Goose Gleason never got that Mathis radio show off the ground, I would've made extra cash without having to sling sausage on Halsted.
