Flew into LAX late one night 12 years ago or so. I'm waiting for my luggage and who walks over to get his but Bob Barker. Wearing a camel haired coat and looking tan (but waxy), he looked in a good mood. I decided to approach him with a different opening line. Instead of The Price is Right, I tell him how much I enjoyed Truth or Consequences. He got a big grin on his face and proceeded to tell me I was too young to have seen him on that show. Before we could continue, 4 or 6 other people walked over asking for pictures and his autograph. I grabbed my luggage and headed for the rental car counter. No picture or autograph, just a nice moment. |
