The Obama show got shitcanned originally. Probably because Obama was so dominating. He pretty much overtalked the whole episode. The show doesn't work well that way. They only trotted that one out after he became President.

I haven't watched but I heard Ina Pinckney from Ina's is a finalist. She has a good personality for the show but is older.

The next person should be fat. I want a show about eating in Chicago to be hosted by someone who looks like she enjoys eating.

I was at boarding house again Wednesday for drinks. It was mayor Emmanuel rather than Alpana this time

Tried this place out last Saturday to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary. No Alpana sighting.

As for the food, it was good for the most part, but nothing was great and some stuff was bad. Octopus appetizer was pretty bad. My wife and dad had the venison which they both said was outstanding. I had the pork chop which was mediocre and paled in comparison to the pork chop at Hog Wild. They make you pay for bread here which I'll allow only if the bread stands out above and beyond. It didn't. It was very good bread, but not if you had to pay for it.


At the prices they charge this place is a definite pass. Probably 50-100 places in the city that are better that price point.
