Seeting up in the northest corner of lot B yesterday to do a scene setter for God knows whom or what.

He puts his mic in front of him and nods to us as we walk past. No acknowledgement. Not even a nod back.

Looked and felt very creepy.

Chet caused Chet, but I can tell you Jerry is not a fan of Chets.

Chet used to walk around the Chicago Stadium like he owned the place...this didnt help Doug Collins in the long run.

Oh wait, we forget Jerry is such great friends with Doug that he didnt want to hire him again, so he could fire him, what an amazing guy! How nice is that, complete 100% class.

I've always heard hushed innuendo that Doug got fired for other reasons then were made public. Something like maybe he was dipping his pen in the company inkwell. Anyone know anything about this?

However, lets say you were doing what you thought was a really good job and wanted to have a meeting with your boss about a raise? Your boss says OK, you set the date and time, you come in prepared to make your case for a new gig, raise, contract, etc and your boss says...you're fired!

Is this guy one of your great friends for life now??? everyone can say it, but would you still consider this to be one of your great friends? Especially when the year after you got fired everything you helped build, the company went public and everyone there made millions and you got nothing?

Some might even say it was a classless move.

Of all the bullshit I listened to from this complete self absorbed asshat there was only one damn hour of compelling radio I can remember him putting down and that was the day that David Hernandez fled the coop and Mike North had to go tell everyone that it was over and chet and stuttering champ put on a display the likes of which have never been seen before.

Suffice to say he was telling stories of Hernandez and there was no naughty word filter on him and he let a lot of his "I know I'm a schmuck" misdirected hostility fly at high velocity and his poor cohost just stuttered for an hour, which is pretty much an average show from what I understand.

You are walking into the lot and you see Chet about 50 feet ahead of you. This guy is the Godfather of sports talk radio in this town. He is standing there looking like a dope with a three man posse trying to set up a live shot for who? Icantfindajob.com?

He was the cat's ass at one point in my younger days and now he is relegated to lot B on opening day. My son was like, "Who is that guy dad and why is he holding a microphone?"

I didn't acknowledge him because I was so uncomfortable seeing him where he was at nowadays.
