He had a coat on. It was cold early this morning.

But I did try and look to see how sharp they were.

Met him a number of years ago when he was at a golf course. We were making the turn and used to play
for a trophy every weekend. I asked him if he would sign the cup which already had some other autographs
on it. He was real gracious about it.

Just a client across the street.

A goomah? Who do you think I am?

I have this image of Cartwright's elbows jutting out of holes torn thru his jacket. One of those damned sportswriters evoked an image of Cartwright going off somewhere to sharpen his elbows during halftimes, and that's always put a smile on my face...

I seem to remember them making a long sleeved Nike shirt years ago. It had target symbols on each elbow.
I want to say it was a David Robinson shirt but don't remember him being known for throwing elbows.

He was someone's guest at a golf outing I was at on Friday. I was going to go up to him and say "It's a pleasure meeting you Mr. Ewing".

Quite naturally, this news warms my soul to some degree. Often, you lose track of the people whose lives you touched and made better and Bill certainly is a guy that used to be on the floor with me.

Quick story about Bill, one time I won the World Championship. Bill was there.

Those were good times. But, there can be no doubt, just knowing that he has a job and is able to provide for his family makes me smile. He always made a great cup of coffee.

YOU TELL HIM I SAID IT! Really, I mean it. It was good.

AND LEAVE ROOM!!!
