4 PMish, walking out of Starbucks, it looked like the Obama party train was pulling up outside Wrigley....no less than 8 Window Tinted Out Escalades.

Recognized Irvin and Kurt Warner exiting the vehicles, then an Army of NFL exec types, 20? 30?

Always kind of cool seeing anyone pulling up to Wrigley....and you could hear Irvin saying 'This is damn cool"...

I know I take it for granted and most fans do, but if you spent a life going to Arenas, you expect to see the facility from a mile away with a vast wasteland of 99% empty parking that you will need to cross to get to the building. I think many of these guys just get a different feel from a place that is closer to my condo than the distance that JORR parks away from Gate 4 at US Cell.

I assume they are also singing the 7th...which should be interesting

old yankee stadium is kind of the same way, however right around the frontside of the ballpark there's an elevated train track right there above a row of sports bars and little food place so it kind of feels like you're right next to lake st as opposed to being perfectly nestled in a neighborhood like wrigley is. i mean there's a neighborhood right there next to it for all intents and purposes, but yeah, it's not as homogenous as wrigley is, especially on parade day!

also there's some kind of your vast wasteland of something on the other side of it that buffers it off from being completely surrounded by a neighborhood.

I bet Michael Irvin would have thought an ersatz Wrigley with ample parking in Schaumburg was way cooler though.

I think you can do okay with a $300/hr. donation for GFE.

Never priced one but I think you can do a lot better than OK.
