This isnt miserable so much as dumb...
A buddy of mine posted this picture
RPB: Not a great comparison. Chick Fil-a is not the only source for Chicken and Chicken is not a necessity for transportation. I think everyone is right. The owner is free to give his money to hate groups and people who disagree are free to boycott. Freedom, baby! America!

Super Smart Girl I always find it interesting that people say "the owner is free to give his money to hate groups". So if I don't agree with something that means I hate it??? Really? Wow that is a pretty simple minded approach to life.

RPB I find "disagreeing" with equal rights to be simple minded. But he hasn't just "disagreed" he has admittedly long contributed to hate groups that are specifically against gay people because they are gay. That is not up for debate. Its a fact the owner admitted.

RPB: Anyway Im just glad we can all legally express our opinions thru boycotts and/or contributions to social groups. That's my point. No reason to lash out at either side. Its a great example of democracy

Super Smart Girl Equal rights, huh?? Well let's say that prostitutes feel that they should be able to sleep with whomever for money without fear of criminal arrest. Where are their EQUAL RIGHTS?? Just because they charge for their services doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to perform their duties legally. Are you a "hater" because you may be against prostitution? If you voice your opinion AGAINST prostitution, should prostitutes march in front of your home and call you a bigot??? These days anyone can shove a topic/idea into an equal rights issue. And I am not lashing out:). I am just trying to play a side while appreciating what my current opponent says. I believe it's another great example of the IDEA of democracy. Not sure we still really have one but the notion is nice!

RPB That wouldnt be equal rights. The laws on prostitution are the same for everybody. Gay people just want the same rights as everyone else. I think that's reasonable. Just my take.

Super Smart girl Perhaps there shouldn't be laws on prostitution. Why is it okay for the govt to tell a prostitute who they can physically love? The gay community doesn't want to be told that their love is anything less then a heterosexual one. In my mind I can see a correlation....regardless of the legal/illegal aspect. I seriously don't care either way. However, I have to shake my head when this biz owner is said to donate to "hate" groups. Isn't he actually donating to TRADITIONAL family values groups? Hardly a hate group If you ask me. Just one of many groups out there with a differing opinion. Democracy at its finest.
