When I lived in Bozeman I’m pretty sure they put ranch in everything. I tried it with a cheese brew and a cheddar garlic bread bread from a local establishment as well as their pizza. It was an improvement.

I can see it being an alternative to marinara with garlic bread and the like, but that stuff doesn't have sauce on it. An already-sauced pizza makes the dipping a redundancy, particularly if you're going to a quality pizza joint.

If you get a solid pizza, that should be more than acceptable, especially when it comes to children. It's no wonder we have so many fat-as-fuck kids waddling around. They're doubling down on sugar and calories like there's a obesity leaderboard.

The pizza was not very good and I’m pretty sure we substituted the breads for pizza night 9/10 times. I mean... the choices were extremely limited out there.

Denied. My brother went to Oswego State up near Syracuse. Went to visit him a few times. After the bars everyone would go for slices. Everyone ordered a slice of blue. Im like WTF is that? Slice of cheese pizza with blue cheese dipping sauce. It was actually really good. Never had it anywhere else and haven't had it since, but definitely looked forward to getting a slice of blue whenever I would go out there to visit.

Not in Oswego NY it isn't.

I agree with everything Peoria Matt said in this thread, and I also think it is ok to dip pizza crusts in sauces, but a little weird to me that you would dip a pizza itself in a sauce unless the pizza was so terrible you needed to mask the taste.

I need freshly made salsa. The mass-produced jar varieties are all shit.

Slice Of Blue sounds like a Grateful Dead song.

When your only options are bland franchise pizza then you need dipping sauce and/or hot sauce.

Also, leftover pizza is better with a little extra ranch every time.

I think sometimes people in Chicago, and the surrounding suburbs forget how spoiled they are with quality local pizza options.

Up here in boofoo it's quite the opposite.

Like some others have said, it’s fairly simple. Cheap pizza like papa johns or sarpinos or whatever you get a garlic or ranch dipping sauce. Decent pizza you don’t and they shouldn’t even offer it really.

Leave it to CFMB to have mixed opinions on an extremely straight forward food topic

Sriracha on frozen pizza is acceptable, I think. No shame in punching up the cheapest of sustenance.

i used to work with a guy who would fold the square pieces of pizza and dip them into ranch. i couldn't watch, it made me sick to my stomach.

little caesar's dipping sauces are amazing though. the buffalo ranch is awesome with either crazy bread or crusts.
