The more I read about this, the more it pissed I get. He absolutely lied intentionally. And was arrogant enough to think he would never be called out. I'm stunned it took 12 years.

But then I read this women that runs NBC doesn't really care about ethics or any of that bullshit. That she just wants ratings and might think this will bring more to NBC.

But if he lied about that Katrina thing, they'll have to fire him.

Letterman is taking heat for not doing Brian Williams jokes. Which he would have done on anybody else. But Brian has been his buddy for years.

He should be doing jokes since his buddy lied to his face on his very show.

honestly im not sure how much he lied. i think he told the story accurately at first, and then over the years it became such a moving story the facts skewed a little bit... none of us have told a story without adding our own style to it. his copter was fired at. the one in front of him should have been blown out of the sky (a dud rpg hit it). i doubt they would tell him anything about operations even why they had to land. even if the facts were dressed up, its not like he was in any less danger than he was claiming.

but all that said, williams entire career is based on truth telling, and he will macvoyed the shit out of this one.

ACN=NBC and Will Mcavoy=Brian Williams. There won't be a movie made about this because the tv series aired years ago.

Nah. If you read some shit about this, people at NBC knew it was bullshit years ago and they asked him to stop telling the story. Tom Brokaw knew it was bullshit years ago. Williams wouldn't stop telling the story. Told it for years. Told it last week.

The military guys, who got shot down, told Williams it was bullshit long before he publicly got called out on it. He kept telling it.

hes just another rich asshole that doesnt have any self awareness. he thinks he does but really he just floats through life because he doesnt know what its like to be truly unfortunate. most wealthy people are like that. like i said he gets no pass.... but still its not like the whole story is a lie. just some details that sounded way better than what actually happened. the point of the story remains the same which is why i dont understand why he felt he needed to dress it up.. again just a rich asshole that doesnt live in the same world as the rest of us.

I have no use for Brian Williams. The last time I saw him was on Sesame Street, where he was trying to get behind the cause of "Mine-itis", which had run rampant on Sesame Street. It turns out that Oscar the Grouch was the fiend behind the dastardly deed.

Roll your eyes all you want, but my statement is true. The last administration told a lot of lies about Iraq, as well. It's funny that only Brian Williams has to lose his job for lying about Iraq.

The sad part is the truth about what he did was impressive enough without the embellishment.
He was flying with a patrol during a war. The first time I laid eyes on this guy,he reminded me of someone trying to look dignified and serious but came off as a 3 dollar bill. I guess some 30 years later,it looks like that was true.
