This dumb bastard should be on the list in perpetuity, I think that might be a shared sentiment across the board, but this one's kinda special even for him.

It's probably just best to watch the video ... it's brief. Bucknor's so dumb that the color guy F.P. Santangelo ends up sounding good at his job whilst giving Bucknor the business, ending with, "I don't even think he [Bucknor] even knows what town he's in right now."

https://streamable.com/xx81u

What you don't see from before this is that, after Bucknor's Chip Caray-like call of 'foul' then 'out', the game (ostensibly) ended (including dummy leaving the field along with everyone else) and the game remained 'ended' long enough for the postgame interviews to begin and roll along for a few minutes before everyone was called back onto the field by dummy. The reason apparently is that Ron Washington, 3B coach for your Atlanta Braves, went over to Bucknor and mentioned to him something like 'hey buddy, didn't you call foul first?' -- so dummy called the umps together, they harumphed amongst each other, and yada yada yada let's restart the game.

Here's a longer video about the whole fiasco: https://streamable.com/a2lwh

What a ball-bag gargler.

Did not even have to read past the title. Nomination supported. CB and Angel Hernandez are the absolute worst.

Joe West generally makes good calls, but his "look at me" Panther way he operates grants him a perpetual nomination as well.

There are MANY umpires in MLB that are worse than Joe West. A lot worse. As I said, the way he interjects himself into the games with arguments and ejections is awful.

West has one of the worst strike zones in the game as well, including the single worst zone in 2014.

http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2014/10/09/joe ... this-year/

Bucknor, Hernandez, Marquez, and West are probably the four worst behind the plate.

Bob Davidson was (thank god for retirement) more of what you describe...not necessarily a bad umpire but just a douchebag that wanted to be a part of everything.

Jeezus ... even for Bucknor this is inexcusably deplorable ...

You shouldn't know an official by name. See also: the NHL's execrable Tim Peel, who despite his awesome "fuck you, you're getting an embellishment" call on Real Deal James Neal, always does everything wrong.

Didn't Bucknor toss Ozzie at a home opener once?

Joe West and C.B. Bucknor are both awful and have been for quite some time. Joe West was horrible 25 years ago and continues to be. Cock Breath same.

Bruce Froemming is looking up from hell at these guys (he is dead, right? if not, maybe he's just there on a visitor's pass) like "these are the worst ya got?"

Bruce remains on the green side of the grass.

ever since maybe the mid 80s, all MLB umpires have been class a douchebags. Their ego's are so huge that any criticism is seem as an attack on all of umpiring to them.

MLB needs to clean house. Most of these guys all suck. I'd say 15% of the umpires are actually good.

And the MLB has no balls to overturn any of these turd calls. That one ump WHO BLEW THE WORLD SERIES for the Cards vs the Royals when the guy was clearly not even close out. Cost the Cards the WS. And some years ago that Tigers pitcher had a perfect game going and the ump blew another easy call at first costing the kid the no-no. MLB didn't reverse any of these.

He sang the anthem, and called the game. Very talented.

Morrison is slowly becoming a WWN favorite...of all my years playing baseball the one way you could get away with cursing out the ump was turning your back to the umpire :D
