Elliott just got popped for a 6 game suspension stemming from an incident that showcased evidence that the accuser encouraged witnesses to lie to responding police, and from which no charges were filed. |

Yeah, a lot of "LACK OF ARREST AND CHARGES DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING" (which CAN be true, but isn't nearly universally so), and "DO YOU NOT THINK THEY KNOW ABOUT THE ACCUSER ENCOURAGING WITNESSES TO LIE?!". Which is odd, because that's an appeal to the authority of the NFL (at least their investigative arm), which Julie and her minions have repeatedly decried as impotent, jaded, and corrupt. Guess the NFL isn't an authority worth appealing to....until it is. |

I am troubled but not really in a major way by this. I still feel the leagues (all of the pro ones) do not need to go to extreme suspension over and above or instead of the law. |

TMZ had more from the NFL and their letter to Elliott, in which they mentioned the cooperation and input from the prosecutors who declined to bring criminal charges. It just seems odd to hear so plainly about a government official conspiring with an employer to get a private citizen in trouble at their job. |

TMZ has copies of the pictures she took, allegedly, after he had hit her on other occasions. NFL reportedly had access to those photos. So, while there is evidence on one occasion the alleged victim asked her friend to lie about being hit, there was still photographic evidence relating to other alleged.incidents. Don't cooperate + old pics = 6 games. |
