Attentiveness under the guise of being non attentive is a bad look for a man of your ilk.

i smoked 8 racks of ribs for a eclipse tailgate and our entire office spent 3 hours in a parking lot getting paid to pass around eclipse sunglasses and feast as we awaited the arrival of our nibirian reptilian overloards. on a monday.

i'm pro eclipse and its fans.

Will "Crying Skilling" become that anti-crying Jordan meme?

Can't blame people for getting excited about the eclipse. We have so few shared cultural experiences these days that we have to take what we can get, even if that's the moon blocking the sun for a couple minutes and driving down to bumfuck Carbondale and Jefferson City for it.

Incidentally, there's a storm rolling in and it's darker from that than it was for the eclipse.

I was playing in a golf outing on Monday at Bowes Creek and they handed out glasses to everyone to use during the eclipse if they wanted to look at it. I was far more interested in focusing on golf, having seen an eclipse before. What the hell is the big deal? The sun gets blocked for a short period of time.....whoopee.

That's because you're simple-minded and not very intelligent.

Gee, I thought it was because it's just an event that seldom takes place, but really holds no interesting qualities. The sun gets dimmed by the moon for a short time as it blocks the sun's rays. Okay.....so? I'm just glad it stayed light enough outside so as to allow the golfing to continue, rather than be interrupted.

How did you afford to golf during the week since you aren't even able to handle the lost money from posting here?

the cubs winning the world series didn't impress ES. you think an eclipse will?

It impressed me and I was happy about it, but like the eclipse, to call it life changing would be stupid. I anticipated the team winning a title with all the exceptional talent they collected, but knew it wasn't going to make my life any different. The sun was still going to rise and fall the same, regardless of the outcome. But I was happy it was the more agreeable outcome.

I wouldn't really compare the two things. Eclipses happen far more frequently.
