Mike Pence walked into a bar, then he walked out in protest of people drinking alcohol on Sunday that was not the blood of Christ.

For years, the liquor stores were the ones lobbying NOT to sell on Sunday. Now they want to because the current bill up for debate makes it easier for them to sell vs a grocery store. It's fucking crazy.

Does anyone know why that no liquor on Sunday law is even a thing? Sure don't think there's a lower alcoholism rate there....

It was for religious purposes so people would sober up and go to church.

More recently, it let the liquor stores pay a staff for only 6 days a week while still selling the same amount.
