Point of this article? Yeah, Ditka thoughts are stupid...he's shared them over the years...but his thoughts are pretty close inline with every dude in their 70's that I know.

Stop acting like you "broke" some story here..and stop giving Ditka a platform.

Like most of you, I was shocked to wake this morning to find out Mike Ditka was a "wee bit" racist.

I dunno, I think ESPN deserves the blame for giving Ditka the platform more than anyone does for reacting to him. It would be different if writers were seeking out his opinions just to criticize him.

I feel the same way about him as I do about Cam Newton. They are just examples of the millions of people who say dumb shit everyday. I wouldn't get too upset about it.

I wonder about his "legacy" if Rex Grossman played better in the other SB and the Bears won?

Shouldn’t we assume that Ditka likely has CTE, given all the brain studies of former NFLers?

Thus, he is disabled, and we should not take his words any more seriously than I take my Mom’s, who has dementia.

Ditka could have been President and probably less racist than Trump.

Listen gang, as members of the orange race, our great President Donald J. Trump and I know what it feels like to be minorities, but we've overcome our systemic disadvantages and oppression with hard work and high IQ's. Let's face it. If things came easy, all you losers would be great at what you do.

The interview was about the NFL and the related issues. That’s where my head was at.

So he is trying to say he thought players are protesting oppression in the NFL?

This guy is obviously not as sharp as he was 20-30 years ago. I think it's pathetic to "bait" him at this stage in his life.

Exactly. If Ditka said something that wasn't stupid, you would have a story.
