You bench the starter while still in the wildcard race and the backup throws 5 picks.

Bills.

as a lifelong bills fan in the midwest, there are times where i just wish they'd move to toronto so i can abandon them and start over with my nfl fandom. but my next obvious choice would be the bears and i'm not sure i want to "graduate" to that.

Just become a Jets fan. They seem like a team on the rise.

There is a story in this somewhere.

They looked really good until that Thursday night game at the Jets when the wheels started coming off.

The Dolphins have the same issues. It's like no one respects Gase or McDermott in their respective locker rooms.

I thought the Bills had multiple injuries on defense and haven't recovered.

Nathan Peterman had 5 INTs on 14 passes. That has to be a record, right?

Peterman’s five picks came on 14 pass attempts, one shy of the record set in 1973 by Archie Manning.

I wish a lot of sports websites were making a bigger deal about this. It's one of the most incompetent, embarrassing decisions I have ever seen a sports team with a winning record make, and the result of the decision was just truly perfect.

i said yesterday that mcdermott should be fired today if not before he got on the plane. horribly incompetent.

tyrod taylor was on pace for his 20+tds a season (remember when that was pretty good?) as he has done the last 2 years. tyrod taylor never turns the ball over either.

he wasn't the reason they went on this slide. well he is but its not because something changed. he is what he is. he checks down a lot. you gave up every weapon he had to get kelvin benjamin.

get rid of these bums. its so irritating.

So what you're saying is we need to give Peterman another chance and that he'll later spawn two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks?

That team's implosion started before yesterday, but that has to be in the team photo for all time worst decisions.

I like how he said he needs to "evaluate the tape" to determine who should be the QB next week.

Taylor had pretty good numbers at time of benching.

100% concur. Not that Taylor was lighting the world on fire at QB, but he was at least a competent QB. There wasn't a lot of evidence pointing to QB as being the sole cause of the losses they did have. Now you've started your drafted QB who by any reasonable measure sucked, he's back on the bench. Now this QB has 6 weeks and the offseason to remember that he absolutely sucks as a QB, and has no chance to prove himself otherwise (unless maybe the Bills do fall out of it on Week 17 and you want to throw him out there just for fun.) You're totally screwing with his psyche for no good reason, you are making yourself from a winning team into a losing one... I really fail to see what the goal of this was.

Its the worst benching I can remember. Makes no sense. If they think of Peterman as the future that's fine but the throw him to the wolves as a rookie while the starter is playing well makes no sense.
