maybe its just in the movies/tv but it seems like judges make these kind of statements frequently. giving their 2 cents regarding conviction/sentencing. what bothered me more was this ladies gaudy make up. not what she said although a bit silly and theatrical. I give leeway to a judge who just had to sit and listen to the deets of this type of trial.
