If her pay only went up $1.50 then she really needs to speak with her HR and change her withholding.

And that cynically pays so well.

But he got what, 500k from the Kochs after the tax bill?

After kitesurfing with Richard Branson and talking to youth leaders in Chicago, former president Obama has agreed to speak at an upcoming private engagement for a financial firm—for the going rate of $400,000, FOX Business reports.

Obama has reportedly agreed to talk at a healthcare conference for Cantor Fitzgerald LP—a Wall Street investment bank—in September.

Quote:
Cantor Fitzgerald Chief Executive Howard Lutnick, who runs one of the world’s largest bond brokerages, said the U.S. bank bailout plan is a positive step, but only one step in the longer effort to revive financial markets.

On Wednesday, the Senate approved a modified version of a Treasury Department plan that would create a $700 billion fund that could purchase risky assets from ailing banks and brokers and help revive credit markets.

Whataboutism on full display!

This group of hyenas aren't waiting for their payoffs, knowing full well that 33% of the country now believe that it's ok because the banana republicans say so.

Can Obama be a perpetual DB nomination because he accepted a large cash sum from a financial institution he bailed out?

If so, the fundamentals you occasionally display to justify your politics will have you right ahead of him

The woman clarified that she was being sarcastic and Randy Bryce raised over $150,000 to run against him. Good showing all around, dipshit.

Always loved the efforts of some liberal to paint him as a wonky wonk with big ideas and carefully formulated plans, rather than a typical Republican shitbag interested in the usual tax cuts for the rich paid for by slashing subsidies to the poor.

Nothing stranger than an alleged fiscal conservative raised in a family dependent on the federal government for its business, and put through school on federal benefits.
And who will leave as his legacy, the world's largest non recession deficits.

And claiming to value the nutty libertarian writings of a woman who lived out her final days on public assistance .

I love the congratulations being thrown to Paul Ryan for a great career with his crowning achievement of "tax reform" passed.

The only permanent "reform" is the slashing of the corporate rate to 21%! Everything else sunsets after 2025

That tax cut will never expire. It will be used a wedge issue in the 2024 presidential. If you are for letting the tax cuts expire, you are for raising taxes. It will be the same stupid argument that was used for the Bush tax cuts expiration argument.

I'll spin this a different way...
Goodbye and Good Riddance to a "leader" of a group that had and express lane to correct a piece of shit legislation they spent years complaining about. Don't confuse activity with accomplishment....it's a pretty weak legacy that's been left behind.

All a politician has to do nowadays is say one thing and then just do whatever he/she wants anyways. If it fails then just blame the other side.

This cat is really getting his ass handed to him by his teammates. You have moderates shitting all over him trying to force a vote on DACA and then you have the crazies in the Freedom Caucus shitting on him by voting against the Farm Bill to force a vote on immigration, too.

And even in shameless exit he's still trying to mollify them while they're trying to push his lame duck ass out before he can secure a few extra bags.
