What is going to be a dilemma on the part of the Dems is that up to last week they owned all of the outrage on the part of the black community for stupid actions on the part of white people that were outside of their party of choice. Now, they cannot say the same thing. Here we have three top leaders in the Democratic Party in one state(Virginia) appearing pretty guilty in the court of public opinion. So..... the two major black Dem race baiters, Jesse and Rev. Al are campaigning for ousting the white guys and not ousting the black guy.

Where this is going is that this is totally diminishing the entire black outrage of their community toward specific groups of white people. Maybe they can backtrack and go back to an assault of all white people but no longer can white Dems claim any high ground in all of this bullshit. They've been hoisted on their own picard.

What the hell does the color of a shoe have to do with the skin color of the person wearing them. This shit is going way too far and I think it is the fault of white people being so stupid that they think they must think of skin color in making their decisions.

I don’t think RDJ should get blowback for Tropic Thunder. The joke was his character is satirizing try hard actors for going too far with method acting. Sure, he leaned into the character, but it was fucking hilarious.

You can best assess the non-computational intelligence of someone by the extent of their ability to comprehend satire. Sure, satire is risky--miss the mark and you've insulted those unable to think--but to not be able to see the intention in the design and context means you are dummb, or perhaps have another agenda. (Sometimes you need to cool down, too. When people satirize white working-class folx--and it's not funny or the tone is off or whatever--I sometimes get pissed, and later think, "Well, it was just poorly done.")

That actively looking for blackface thing, if it is about embarrassing, unseating, and disrupting people, isn't about justice. At best, it's anarchic, and at worst, it's revenge. Can we have one cultural-political battle that doesn't result in a pyrrhic victory?
