The times is about as left as can be and npr is heading that way.

When you get all of your news from the same websites that are found in Cheap Charlie/beerfan's signature, then yeah The NYT and NPR will seem left.

NPR played audio of a woman having an abortion. The times is msm for the left. Most websites that rate news sites have them as lean left or left. You don't see it because you are a leftist loon or more likely listening to a leftist loon that tells you what to think.

I don't think having biased sites are a bad thing per se, I'm not sure they should be federally funded but that's a different discussion. It would be no different than saying Fox News or New York Post is conservative. NYT is left, I'm not sure what fight you are trying to pick or what you think you are trying to prove. You might as well type LEEEERRROOOY JENKKKIIINNNNS! before some of your posts the way you charge in.

The NYT definitely has a left bias, but it does solid original reporting. I stopped listening to NPR (sorry CH) when they went after their reporters for going on Fox News. They still do a decent amount of long form reporting. PBS is probably the most middle of the road.

The WSJ is solid and pretty neutral aside from their editorial pages. But it takes on issues from the perceptive of business readers, so I suspect left leaning folks will find it right of center.

We know the biases of these sources, and hopefully are smart enough to see through those when reading.

None of these are pure propaganda that comes out of the three major news networks.

Not the highest volume, but csmonitor.com does a good job and is consistently rated as neutral. For much of their long form reporting they publish executive summaries and you can click between the summary or the full article. They have a premium version (I don't subscribe) and a daily podcast (I do have that in my feed).
