it doesn't let us get to a good breakdown of his speech, praising God as he stands there, well known to be a Scientologist Not one person in that room booed him.

He seemed like a good guy at one time. That wife has twisted him into knots, like Robin Givens did to Tyson. He's not even recognizable now. It seems like anyone who knew him feels bad for him but at the same time, all the hollywood kooks applaud what he is.

And people wonder how the likes of Harvey Weinstein was able to do what he did in that town for so long. Hollywood is a weird place.

Hollywood kills MANY people because of drugs and/or women. Will would be better off walking away from her poisonous ass.

I always like Will as an actor. I did not realize he had fallen into the weird zone. I avoid Hollywood gossip at all costs.

I've never cared for her, but if she simply laughs it off nothing happens. That she brought him on her dumbass podcast to talk to her affair with a weirdo kid just makes it worse as a big celebrity.

The crappy actress just aided Chris Rock's career. Now Will needs to be an adult and apologize publicly to Chris Rock. And Jada needs to stfu unless she wants to apologize for provoking this crap. And then hopefully she can go the hell away.

She's the absolute worst. Your mental health will be in the toilet because of her.

A friend who played for the Braves said similar things about Halle Berry. Disappointing.

Shut your mouth.

She must be. To turn her husband on a dime like that.

They're Scientologists or in some way bankrolled by Scientology and have been for years. That pretty much gives both of them zero credibility.

How about a happy home life AND being obscenely wealthy?

I'd obscenely give it away. All I would "need" is about 6 houses, a plane, housekeepers, and a driver.

Plus a fairly simple golf course so SS can work on breaking 100.

lets say Amy Schumer tells the joke. And Jada is still pissed and Will instead of smacking Schumer across the face, just stands up and says the "Keep my wifes name out of your motherfucking mouth" as his response...i imagine it would still be talked about, but would be a different type of "unacceptable" think pieces for that behavior and how he shouldnt have "gone that far" because it was "just a joke" (which would be correct, still) and yet here we are where he actually assaulted Chris Rock for doing his fucking job and its really being debated if his response was, like, justifiable.

No. It isnt. You sit there and you fucking take the joke. If you have a problem, the MOST you do is the scenario where you yell back at him and still get blasted in the news for it for being a chump. You dont stroll up to the guy presenting and assault them.

Part of me hopes that charges are filed on behalf of the city or state, regardless of Rock not pressing charges. Fuck this chump.

and on top of this, Will Smith's slap has forever effected whatever little comedy there is at The Oscar's. Every single comedian in the future will be thinking about the reaction if he makes a joke about the audience and censoring to some degree. The censorship argument is far too sophisticated for that audience to understand.

It would be great to bring in a big gun like Gervias next year to recalibrate.

If Rock's joke was innocuous and got slapped, Gervais will get drawn and quartered.

I dunno, Gervais seems like a smug prick who tries to get away with it by acting like it’s a joke. You have to be way funnier and clever than him to pull it off. Ferguson, sure, but you can keep Ricky.

He's pretty good on the Golden Globes, but I tend to agree when it comes to his stand up material. It seems more mean spirited than clever.
