His point is that all the rules changes to protect "player safety" (like hits on defenseless receivers) are geared toward keeping offensive players safe. He has a point.

No he doesn’t. He’s not defenseless, he’s just focused on the QB and not concerned with the protection.

Looked like a shoulder to the head. Which would be a penalty. If it is a shoulder to his chest it is a clean block.
