The college rulebook, when describing when the penalty is called, includes high stepping prior to the end zone as a reason to call it back.

It's a bad rule. It should be a penalty on the kickoff or extra point. It was called absolutely correct though. Purdue has been an undisciplined team all year. It cost them the Syracuse game.

I know I'm going to regret admitting this but...I kind of liked purdue's entire campus and stadium. It didn't seem nearly as hick as I imagined. Now, it does display a huge inferiority complex to say "IU sucks" on every kickoff but otherwise I got a good vibe.

I didn't see many bars for a big, state school. Lots of liquor stores.

Agreed...it should be applied as a dead-ball foul as it isn't a safety issue or causing unfair advantage.
