I think he must have had a conversation about fashion with someone and after he expressed his opions the other party or parties literally laughed in his face with something like 'YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT FASHION' followed by howling laughter or a group laugh.

To make up for it and feel better about himself he created his moniker.
