They weren't booing enough for Pop, so he decided to inc the booing and couldn't really get on the mic and say: is that all you got? boo harder!

Pop was trying to end the Spurs 9 game losing streak going into the brief holiday break. After starting the season 3-2 Spurs have now lost their last 10.

Strangely I think Pop's coaching is to blame--he's been predominantly playing Victor with Sochan as his PG; maybe b/c he wants Wemby to develop into a Jokic type player and so playing Victor w.out a true PG forces Victor to handle PG duties more? I dunno.


But back when the Spurs were winning, Tre Jones--who is a true PG and not a shooting guard playing PG cuz Pop--would still come off the bench but Jones would play more minutes in the game as Wemby's PG than Jeremy Sochan (who Sochan has said he doesn't like playing point).

If you look at the on-off numbers for Victor-Tre Jones and Victor-Sochan, stark difference:
