He wants an EOY "tournament" that determines draft order. So instead of tanking to get a better pick, he wants the better of the bad teams to get the best players.

might as well. sounds better than playing a meaningless tournament in the middle of the season so insanely rich people can compete for a cash prize.

Didn't much care for the tournament. Didn't watch "the final four". There was nothing there for fans. It's fine trying to get interest up in December, figure out something else. Different rules maybe. They'd never go for no 3 pt line, right?

I’ve been advocating for this for years. If you want to get the first overall pick you have to fight for it.

i think if they did an EOY tournament with the bottom 10 teams, 1 and done elimination, and you can't use your starters. Its all bench guys fighting for the better draft spot. Basically, make guys fight to get traded in essence kinda.

i actually like this idea. top 4 teams are assured a best of 3 playin for the playoffs. it would give incentive for teams to lock that in early in the season just in case something happens.
