My wife buys tortillas, cuts a stack into 6's and cooks them up in the air fryer. Instant home made doritos, both healthier and less expensive.

I just buy meat, produce, and on sale items at Jewel. Everything else at Walmart.

I get the Walmart+ monthly fee comped on one of my credit cards. I started during COVID and kept it while my dad was sick because I could put an order in from my flight to Chicago and pick it up three hours later and not have to go inside.

Today I do a $35-40 order about once a month, all name brand stuff that I won't dare buy at Kroger or Publix. I show up, they load it into my trunk, and I drive away.

Also, the Walmart+ subscription gets you complementary Paramount+ which is useful for me during NFL season as the local CBS affiliate doesn't come in well OTA and those 5-6 days are the only days I watch CBS all year.

Fairly informative read about how Amazon cock-blocked Walmart for a decade plus in the ecommerce space via hiring away Walmart's best ecommerce people and sending folks back to sabotage Walmart from within via playing up the division within Walmart btw brick-and-mortar and online. I assume Del Rey worked with/got cooperation from the folks in NW R-Kansas and the heisman from Bezos crew. e.g., an entire hagiographic chapter blowing Doug McMillon (currrent CEO of Walmart) early on in the book. After that it gets into the details of the rivalry and how Walmart finally figured out they needed to pay attention to online.

$6.29? Was that on sale? (yes, party size) And yet with a digital coupon I got 4 bags of Chex Mix for $4

I wonder if the Doritios boycott will catch on.

You know who noticed shrinkflation? Cookie Monster. What's the deal with this Sesame Street thing? Is it suppose to be endearing or appeal to those of us who watched it?
