Well hello there, Chicago Sports Fan Message Boarders. I have been asked to take over the Douchebag of the Week poll as Frank Drebin is indisposed for the next month or so. Good luck in prison Frank. We didn't have a douchebag vote last week due to Frank's sentencing hearing, so this week will have the top nominees over the last two weeks. So, here are this week's nominees for the DOUCHEBAG OF THE WEEK! Lori Drew: NSJ nominates Lori Drew for pretending on myspace to be a teen boy to mess with a teenage girl. The girl subsequently kills herself. Lori appears to be a massive insensitive cumrag, but does she qualify for douchebag of the week? Mercury Morris: Magic 1 brings some top smack by nominating Mercury Morris for his anti-patriots rant. Personally I think that any member of that team could win this award, especially in this town. Do you think that the Magic one brought the right smack? Fred Miller: Frank Costanza nominates the Bears Pro Bowl RT for the DBOTW award with love and affection. He speaks of Miller in such loving words that it's hard to determine if he maybe meant to put this in the shoutout section. Is Miller a douchebag or just a loser? You tell me! Chris Berman: BD thinks that Chris Berman is a douchebag for propagandizing the Global Warming phenomenon. Most people find Berman as entertaining as a steel toe kick to the testicles. Does any of this make him a douchebag? Mike North: NSJ nominated Mike North for his record 55,783st DOTW nomination. This time because he says that the death of Sean Taylor is not sad because he's not a Bear, he's a gangbanger, or he didn't have a security system. Regular Reader checks in with a wicked rant as well. Dumbass Fucking Drunk Drivers: That's right, FavreFan made this nomination, not Coast2Coast. His friend got badly injured by a drunk driver, and this one is a solid nomination. BCS: Phil in the Hills jumps on the talk show topic of the week by begging for a playoff system. The BCS is more confusing than corporate tax code, and we all wish for a playoff system instead of the Tidy Bowl. Is Phil onto something, or what folks? William Beavers: Darkside nominated the Beav for this weeks douchebag award for race baiting, using the fact that Beavers called Periaca a racist for basically not being on board with the new budget and tax increases. Does this Beaver need a doucheing? Something smells.... Linda Will, mother of deceased NU player Rashidi Wheeler: Hawkeye Vince not only nominated Will for the DBOTW award, but he also created the longest thread title I've seen. Seems Wills wants more that 15 million to conpensate her for her dead son, and HV thinks this is douchy. What do you think? Hub Arkush: Linda S., oops, I mean parkridgesteph nominated Hub for saying Turner shouldn't be fired because he was the O Coordinator a Super Bowl team, while also saying Rex needs to go. Many oof you seem to not like Hub Arkush, so is he Douchebag material? YOU DECIDE! This week we will also allow a write in, but it MUST BE a previously nominated douchebag, not a new one (you'll need a new thread for that). So, who is the douchegag? Lori? Mercury? Hub? Linda? Fred? It was between Drew and the Drunk Drivers, but I think the drivers are a bigger problem. There's only one Lori Drew but there are far, far too many drunk drivers. |

In this list, I went with drunk drivers. But I submit that they shouldn't really be on the list, since it goes without saying that they are douchebags. You might as well have put up Sean Salisbury on there. |

Right now it's a tie between Drunk drivers and William Beavers. I think that in the event of a tie, I gotta go with DD, even though I nominated Beaver Boy. It's hard being fair. |
