What an idiot. He has to know better than to spew racially offensive remarks on twitter for all to see/hear. He's lucky the Eagles decided to just fine him and his teammates so far seem very willing to forgive his remarks. From all the comments from teammates, including his QB Michael Vick (who knows what being the subject of public scrutiny feels like) he is a very well liked member of the Eagles. I have to think he might not be given a pass by everyone he plays against from opposing teams however.

No, I meant every word. If he were a rookie from some small farm town and got drunk and said this, you could dismiss it a bit easier. But the guy is going into his 4th season and has seen enough to know better than to put something like that out for the masses. It could have cost him his job. It's likely to cost him after this season, when he tries to negotiate a new contract and surely will do him no favors if he seeks any endorsement deals.
