In the past week saw a pumpkin beer endcap at Binnys and dunkin pumpkin coffee commercials. The terrible pumpkin foods are coming back even earlier than before!

People with awful taste buds are encouraging these awful pumpkin foods to proliferate and be introduced earlier.

Bastards.

Pumpkin beers started popping up here in JULY. Guess some breweries try to get a foothold on the market as soon as possible. My advice: stay away from pumpkin beers!

Pumpkin beers on draft can be great. Something doesn't work well for me with the bottled ones.

The Arlington Hts Binny's had a Pumking endcap in the middle of August. So messed up.

I assume they're like shandys where they taste super fake. At least fake lemon is tasty. Real or fake pumpkin sucks.

Talked to a brewmaster about how early the beer is in production/on the shelves, he asked me to remember how good the beer tasted (on tap) last October which is because it was brewed in July/August. Production starts, the product has to be moved out because of space/capacity limitations.

Personally, I find it way too early but I'm also ready for Stout at the Devil nights to come around Halloween/November. Hearty stouts, many barrel aged, the perfect introduction to the cold months ahead.

pumpkin sucks. People who like it don't even really like it, they like the spices and sweetener that is added to it to make it palatable.

you feel obligated to have 1 slice as a dutiful nod to autumn and then quickly move onto all the far superior desserts.

You just described every cooked good in existence.

I'm not eating uncooked wheat either.

Yeah. Just like egg nog.

However, there are better options out there that are quite good. A good pumpkin beer on draft or a good pumpkin bread/muffin is a great thing.

I hope you enjoy wasting $5 on pumpkin shit.

BRicke, Egg Nog is just alright with me when you add brandy or whiskey to it. I'll drink that a lot around Christmastime. Even being a drunken glutton with football on TV can't save pumpkin pie.

Some pumpkin beers are good, and I'll maybe pick up 1 or 2 six packs for the season. You can't really drink more than 1 in a sitting. Other pumpkin beers are just shit though.

I'd recommend going to a local brewery or a local beer store with growlers and getting one there. It just tastes different. I haven't really liked most of the bottles I've had.

I loved it when I was a kid, but now, I would rather have pecan, chocolate, apple, etc.

Not a big fan. Even the good ones like Southern Tier Pumking, need to be poured into three or four portions. A few ounces is enough.

but you would eat an apple, orange, banana etc. without an accompaniment. Compare it to a potato. Id eat a baked potato without anything even though mashing it up with other things makes it more awesome. No one's eating a pumpkin on its own.
