I think that may be more cultural though. There are other countries where they eat cooked pumpkin. I don't think I've ever had it. The closest I think I've had is pumpkin ravioli, which was good.

A local brewer roasts actual pumpkin and puts it into his beer for virtually the whole process of brewing. It's pretty good.
