I don't post here much, but always find good discussion and info here.

My four year old son has been battling leukemia (AML), and wanted to nominate pediatric cancer for this award.

He's fighting strong, but having cancer (child or adult) really sucks.

We're going to stem cell transplant next week, and trying to keep our heads above water.

If anyone's interested in donating, my son Bradley's GoFundMe page is here: http://www.gofundme.com/gzrcnc

Thoughts/prayers are needed just as much too. Thanks all.

Why $20K, only asking as it seems you are close to that number and I would just guess more is needed? Would be happy to kick off another stage of raising.

Good luck and keep us updated

My Sister In Law set up the page originally, I don't think she thought it through on what to set the number at, it should be listed higher, you're right. My son's twin sister is going to be his stem cell donor. Obviously they're fraternal twins, so the odds were that she would only be a 25% match, we're extremely lucky that she is a perfect match. We've been working with insurance and Lurie's Children's Hospital on the costs for both of my kids for the transplant, and it's six figures.

A sincere thank you to you guys that donated, really means a lot. I know everyone has causes they support, and even if you can't donate, just sharing his GoFundMe page on Twitter/Facebook is a gigantic help. It's been quite humbling and have had to swallow a lot of pride in asking for donations, it's not something I do well or enjoy doing, so I really appreciate you guys for thoughts/prayers/support.

-Brian

Stem cell transplant was yesterday at Lurie's. Everything looks like it went really well.

Going to be hunkered down at Lurie for a while, hoping to take my son home by the time baseball season starts.

Thanks again guys for the donations/thoughts/prayers, really appreciate it.
