I understand there has to be individual responsibility but how many harassment claims does an organization have to be served with before someone looks to change the culture of the organization. It seems like it is a yearly thing for them across all departments.

If you keep hiring male former athletes to work with college chicks with nice racks, this is exactly what is going to happen. The ESPN offices are run basically like a Hooters Restaurant.

Details ....

The Big Lead reported a bizarre story today, which includes a sexual harassment claim against ESPN involving sportscaster Chris Berman, a contracted makeup artist carrying on an affair with Cris Carter, and two private detectives who claim they were hired by ESPN.

The makeup artist, Sue Baumann, worked for a makeup company that ESPN contracts with. She spent six to seven years working with ESPN, the last several on NFL Countdown. After she was fired by her employer this summer, Baumann hired noted attorney Gloria Allred and launched a sexual harassment claim against ESPN. The Big Lead reports the claim consisted of “comments [Berman] allegedly made in the makeup room and text messages going back a few year.”

ESPN settled the sexual harassment claim, but spokesperson Josh Krulewitz told The Big Lead that was solely a business decision, and that it had no merit.

“Our thorough investigation revealed the harassment claims had no merit. We settled it solely to save a considerable amount of time and litigation costs.”

Krulewitz declined to expand upon his statement to me.

Baumann’s involvement in ESPN controversies doesn’t end there. According to The Big Lead, in 2013 the married Baumann began a relationship with the married Carter. In early 2013 two men showed up on Baumman’s doorstep and said they worked for an ESPN employee, according to a police report filed by her husband David.

The private investigators told police they were indeed hired by ESPN, and needed to talk to David Baumann because he was “calling and harassing an employee at ESPN.” The Big Lead reports that employee was Carter, though ESPN’s associate director of security told police he “would of [sic] never sent two private investigators to Bauman’s [sic] residence.”

But according to Stoneroses, this should be nothing to get too worked up about. Just accept things for the way they are.

How, exactly is Chris Berman involved?

Was he messing around with her as well?

Or, did he know all about it and not inform top brass?

Sounds like he sent her some text messages she was cool with until 5 years later when she was fired. Her ex-husband's description of her paints her as a woman willing to do anything for money.

ESPN recently announced that they will layoff 350 people. Hopefully Berman and Carter will be 2 of them.

If the University of Missouri President lost his job for no reason, then somebody at ESPN headquarters deserves to be executed.

Chris Carter just isn't worth it for them. No one person is. They just hire another dumb ass athlete. They're all the same.

Remember what CBS did with Dan Marino after he was having an affair with a CBS girl?

They kept him for the next season. Then his contract expired and they just didn't renew it. That way they didn't have to say they fired him. Maybe the same will happen with Carter.

I respect your opinion, but I feel that it is uninformed. I think that you know very little about how I feel.

I certainly recognize legitimate grievances, but I refuse to acknowledge trivial complaints.

You're right, and I'll leave it alone. We can end this amicably.

Your Yankees suck.
