This dude needs to get over his flagrantly obvious insecurity and either actively embrace the villain role or let the hate slide. Instead he wants to act like he somehow proved the haters wrong by joining a 73 win team and cruising to the title, when that is exactly what everyone but the most deluded Lebron fans expected. Quit acting like you're unfairly maligned or didn't get the props you somehow "deserve" and quit arguing with random Oklahoma fans on Twitter. If anything I think he should be receiving more hate for what he did, not less, but he wants to continue acting like an emo teenager because someone somewhere said something mean about him.

I thought he was just embracing the bit when it happened, but this offseason is making it look more and more likely that it may have been genuine.

I just assumed it was genuine. He looked truly pissed.

In general I like him because he's almost always honest and isn't a PR drone like LeBron. I want to defend the shoes thing but I can't. He's also not as good as Kawhi and it's annoying casual fans including the media think he's better.

Also his taste in rap is highly questionable.

I dont think you want to hear the next generation(Lonzo Ball)'s take.

I know it.

I'm a fan of Lil B (as a personality and KD tormenter-not a rapper)

I try not to be a "rap was real back then, dammit" guy but there are certain untouchables and Nas is definitely one of them.

Of course. Nobody ever accused me of liking or knowing anything about rap but I can still acknowledge One Mic is probably the best song of all time.

Just to make you smile at a fond memory, that was the song I listened to all morning getting pumped up for Bears-Packers NFC championship in 2011

Turns out there were a few things in our way and when GB busted, we didnt bust back.

I don't get why someone who is regarded as a superstar by most peers, fans, and media, is not even 30 and has more money than he can spend would give a fuck about what random people on social media think and get into arguments with them.

If you're a professional athlete or celebrity there are always going to be people who think you suck for some reason. Even if they're right it seems like there would be way too many positives in your life to give a damn.

Yeah back when he first signed with G.S. supporters of the move kept insisting that he shouldn't or wouldn't give a damn about what the fans think. This past year has obviously demonstrated otherwise. On one level (most important i guess) he wins but on another he loses. He backdoored his way to a ring and he has to live with it.

I'd give Durant a "C" for his individual and team performance last year.

Nomination approved, he's a douche.

Worse are all the idiots pointing to the IT trade and perceived lack of loyalty from the Celtics as justification for KD's lack of loyalty to OKC and move to GS. As if anyone is saying that KD didn't have the right to leave OKC. People rightly give him shit for leaving to go to an historically great team that just knocked him out of the playoffs in the WCF.

If KD had left OKC and went to Boston/Houston/Clippers no one would've given him a hard time.

I still think that OKC was better with him than G.S. also. The timing of the move stunk. OKC had made the sort of upgrades that might have pushed them ahead of G.S too. If OKC were a bum team with no shot of winning anything he would have definitely gotten a pass. With him they were the most talented in the league on paper. From a competitive standpoint he should have remained too. He sold their ass out those last 3 games. Absolutely sold them out.

Kyrie and KD (they sound similar...suspicious) are both little biznatches.

yeah i have really soured on him this last year. i didn't mind his move to GS. whatever...but his attitude in coping with the legitimate criticism has been very off putting.

Considering that the genre has been dead for damn near 20 years, I'd say that you might be guilty of this as well, Bryan.
