While I realize they won't get in because their records weren't chart topping like the rest, few bands get copied the way Fugazi has been over the years. If the HoF had any balls, they would at least nominate them.

Fugazi was a different animal, though. In addition to musically kicking ass....they revolutionized how bands could independently operate and manage their business affairs. That alone puts them in the HoF.

Injustices? Iron Maiden and Motley Crue have each sold over 100 million records. The line for bands that are overdue to get in starts behind them.

Iron Maiden's record sales numbers are disputed since they are not backed by the required amount of certified sales. Someone may claim they've sold that many...but there isn't any evidence for it.

if we're going by actual record sales, Iron Maiden is looking at no fewer than 100 artists ahead in line.

Also, Iron Maiden and Motley Crue are bad.

In case you need a translator....that's a metric shit ton of records. They were the biggest force from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, which influenced Metallica and an entire genre of music. They still fill up amphitheaters across the fucking globe as Senior Citizens.

Hang up on yourself. That's an all time bad take. I don't like Eminem very much but can at least recognize his prominence in music.

I am in agreement with you on Maiden. That said I have no use for anything they recorded in the last 20 years.

6.5M certified in album sales, according to your own link. That's more albums than I've sold so it's pretty cool, but it isn't 100M and it is less than Justin Bieber so I guess we have to put him in the Rock and Roll HOF first.
